About BNE

Belize Natural Energy Limited (BNE) was founded on the vision that oil and gas would positively transform Belize.  Since the first commercial oil discovery, BNE has established itself as a Belizean company with world-class standards.

In 2003, BNE signed a production sharing agreement with the Government of Belize and in 2005 oil was discovered at Mike Usher No.1 well in the Mennonite agricultural community of Spanish Lookout in Western Belize. Since the 1950’s, several major oil companies had unsuccessfully explored for commercial oil and gas in Belize, thus at the time of discovery there was no existing oil industry infrastructure in the country. BNE took to the task of developing all requisite infrastructure to produce and market Belize Light Crude.

In 2009, BNE discovered the Never Delay Field (ND), in an area known as Never Delay to the Northeast of Belmopan. Work to optimize the production from ND continues.

Currently BNE produces approximately 2,000 barrels of crude oil per day, 1,800 gallons of Liquefied Petroleum Gas (LPG), and 160 thousand cubic feet per day (MCF/D) of fuel gas for electricity generation (internal use).

In nine years BNE has:

  • Discovered and developed Belize’s only two commercial oil fields.
  • Developed ancillary and related oil and gas infrastructure.
  • Drilled over 62 wells.
  • Produced 10 million barrels (bbl) of crude oil.
  • Shipped 153 cargoes of Belize Light Crude Oil and Never Delay Crude Oil to international markets.
  • Sold 10% of crude production to local industries thereby lowering local production costs.
  • Contributed in excess of USD 240 million in Government Revenues.
  • Trained company and government employees in oil and gas operations.

susan1Grounded by her love of nature, Susan lives to create positive change in the world. As an experienced geologist, explorer, and dealmaker, Susan is renowned for her down-to-earth approach. She has a passion for the protection of our precious environment and a commitment to uncovering the true potential of everyone with whom she meets and works.

Susan, together with Mike Usher, established Belize Natural Energy (BNE) in 2002. BNE is founded on their shared vision that Belize had oil in sufficient quantities to positively transform Belize. In 2005 on drilling the very first exploratory well, BNE unlocked commercial oil reserves. Susan attributes this extraordinary success to the application of mind technology which she uncovered and wholly embraced on attending an Educo Seminar in 2002.

Susan has encouraged and supported the management and staff of BNE to attend Educo Seminars and learn about the Educo Model (www.educoworld.com). With one mind, we can transform our lives and the world.

Belize Natural Energy (BNE) has grown in this original vision and today is a global industry leader – an amazing success story when you consider that there was no E&P oil and gas infrastructure or skilled labour in Belize in 2005. Now BNE is poised to grow its business model to become the regional energy solution mining the human potential.
